CANUCKS NEWS: For 40 minutes last night, it was though we’d been transported back in time. Back to just a couple years ago, when Willie D patrolled the benches and the Canucks played a style so dreadfully boring that it was nearly unwatchable. Hell, if it weren’t for the anger and anxiety all the turnovers caused, it wouldn’t have even kept me awake through it.
Thanks to Jacob Markstrom though, the Canucks were still in this one after 2 periods. And unlike those dark, mustachioed days of old, the Canucks don’t have to hope that guys like Linden Vey and Jayson Megna can will them to victory.
