It probably couldn’t have gone worse for the Leafs last night, barring an injury to Auston Matthews. Coming out of the 1st tied 1-1 after weathering a storm in the first 10 minutes of the game, they looked like they were in pretty good shape. And then Mitch Marner missed an open net, which would have changed this game entirely.
The Bruins scored twice in the 2nd, and after Tommy Wingels nailed Marner with a pretty obvious elbow to the head that went uncalled...
