The Utica Comets will open the AHL season this weekend, but before they do, there’s still some fine tuning to be done. It started with the release of 4 players on tryouts: Tyler Biggs, Joel Martin, Lane Scheidl and Aaron Irving. They then welcomed back Richard Bachman, Anton Rodin, Michael Chaput and Jayson Megna.
Megna of course was a lightning rod for criticism last year as Willie Desjardins persistently gave Megna prime minutes and got literally nothing in return for it. Megna’s demotion to the Comets is a great thing for the AHL squad.
