NHL Trade Deadline: Alex Burrows traded to Ottawa Senators

After balking at last year’s trade deadline, Jim Benning pulled the trigger on a player that many agreed needed to be moved.

The Canucks have traded forward Alex Burrows in exchange for Jonathan Dahlen. Burrows needed to waive his no-trade clause in order for the move to be made.

Burrows has spent his entire career with the Canucks dating back to the 2005-06 season. During his time in Vancouver, Burrows scored 193 goals with 191 assists in 822 games. His best year came in 2009-10 when he scored 35 goals and registered 32 assists, both career highs.
