With day one of the NHL Draft in the rear view, and Benning doing the logical thing by taking the best defenseman available, we head into day two in more of a passive mode. Vancouver's early second round pick belongs to Florida, so unless the Jackets want to part with the conditional second rounder they owe Vancouver for hiring Tortorella last season, the Canucks won't select again until the 63rd in the third round.
Don't be surprised if Benning moves something or someone from his changing roster to get the rights to a second rounder back.
