A Canucks prospect is on the move. OHL Peterborough announced that they’ve acquired goaltender Aleksei Medvedev from London in exchange for a trio of draft picks. The 19-year-old was a second-round pick back in 2025, going 47th overall. Medvedev posted a 3.26 GAA with a .891 SV% in 36 games with the Knights last season and has an identical SV% in eight outings this year. With London acquiring another goalie recently, it was likely that Medvedev was going to be moved to get him more playing time which should happen with the Petes. Medvedev has already signed his entry-level deal and will likely make the jump to the professional ranks next season.
