Horvat, Virtanen, Baertschi line leads the way in Canucks win over Oilers

EDMONTON -- The kids were all right, again. Actually, they were quite a bit better than that.

With their veterans apparently saving themselves for the games that really matter, it was the Vancouver Canuck youngsters who again shouldered the offensive load Thursday night.

Bo Horvat had two goals and an assist, Jake Virtanen had a goal and and two assists and their linemate Sven Baertschi had four assists. Rookie defenceman Ben Hutton also scored for the Canucks, who beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 at Rexall Place.

The play of the youngsters will force some tough decisions onto the plates of general manager Jim Benning and head coach Willie Desjardins.
