The Vancouver Canucks may have suffered their biggest loss yet: captain Henrik Sedin.
The club announced on Twitter that their star centre would not be returning to Thursday night's contest with the Philadelphia Flyers after sustaining a lower-body injury early in the second period.
There is no word yet on the severity, but a long-term injury to Henrik Sedin would be a disaster for the Canucks, who have struggled of late, and are already without centre Brandon Sutter, and relying heavily on struggling young centres Bo Horvat and Jared McCann.
It could also affect the club's decision to loan McCann to Team Canada at the upcoming World Juniors.
