Let's face it: for some of you, this counts about as much as real hockey in your eyes as it does in the NHL's. For those of you that have been aching for some NHL action though, it is a welcome return, especially with the team not making the post-season last April. And while we all hope that this team can somehow make a return to days past where they were in the upper echelon of the NHL, the team itself has gone back in time to the days of not televising games. To be fair, this is not a surprise with game 1 of the World Cup of Hockey Finals tonight taking up Sportsnet's attention, but with all these specialty channels you think there'd be some thought to televising it, what with the demand even for pre-season, Canucks recent woes aside.
