Sure, they seemed to be in pretty decent shape after the 1st period, but as has often been the case this season, their 2nd period effort sunk them, leading to a fairly predictable 4-1 loss to the best team in the NHL last night. On the TSN 1040 broadcast they raised a pretty good question: Why start Ryan Miller in this game and not tonight's contest against Carolina? Sure, he's still your 'Number One' goaltender, but first game back after an injury, why not go with the hot goalie who held the fort during your absence?
Not that it was Miller's fault, mind you.
