VANCOUVER — If the Vancouver Canucks are to salvage a win from a five-game homestand that concludes tonight at Rogers Arena, they will have to do something that no one else in the National Hockey League has managed to accomplish so far this season: Beat the Montreal Canadiens.
The Canadiens have begun the season with a perfect 9-0-0 record, while the Canucks are still looking for their first win of the season at home.
“For us they are a great measuring stick,” says Vancouver winger Alex Burrows. “They are probably the best team in the league right now, everything is going well.
