The Vancouver Canucks want their home-opener to go better for them than the Calgary Flames’ season debut did this past Wednesday night.
It was the Canucks, of course, who spoiled the Flames’ home-opener, beating Calgary 5-1 at the ScotiaBank Saddledome.
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know the Flames are going to try and return the favour tonight at Rogers Arena.
“They are going to push the pace,” Vancouver winger Alex Burrows said after this morning’s optional morning skate. “Knowing (Calgary coach) Bob (Hartley) personally, I know he is going to get his team prepared for sure to battle back and play their game.
