Connor McDavid vs. Jack Eichel. Auston Matthews vs. Patrik Laine. The list goes on of matchups between first and second overall picks of the same draft class that face off against each other in the NHL. The NHL loves to hype these matchups up. They make comparisons, post graphics of those comparisons all over social media, and really try to build hype surrounding the showdown. The Vancouver Canucks will finally get in on the fun.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they’ll do the same thing every time that Jack Hughes and Kappo Kaako play against one another, but I’m willing to bet that the league will attempt to build a lot of hype around the matchup between Quinn and Jack Hughes.
