For Vancouver Canucks fans, the wait was worth it. Highly-touted goalie prospect Thatcher Demko hit the crease for the first time this season on Friday night and did so in superb fashion.
The 2014 first-round draft pick led the Canucks to a 4-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C. In his second career start, Demko stopped 36 of 39 shots on goal from the Sabres, as he shut out the visiting side in the third period. The Boston College graduate is the first goalie in team history to win his first two career starts.
