VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks have no intention of going into full rebuild mode next season and will endeavour to make the playoffs again while integrating younger players into their lineup.
That was the crux of the message delivered Wednesday by team president Trevor Linden during a management post-mortem news conference at Rogers Arena.
"We don't plan on taking any steps backwards," said Linden. "We're trying to win. We're trying to make the playoffs and we're going to do everything we can to do that. We need to develop players, but we can't put players in the lineup who aren't ready.
