With the victory, Vancouver moved to 10-6-3 on the young season, good for third in the Pacific Division. It should be noted that the Canucks have played one less game than the Edmonton Oilers, who are three points ahead for first in the Pacific.
Vancouver will host the Dallas Stars on Thursday evening, two days before the powerhouse Colorado Avalanche come to town. Afterwards, the Canucks will embark on a difficult six-game road trip that begins in Dallas next Tuesday.
