LOS ANGELES -- It went to overtime, so you know how this story ends.
The Vancouver Canucks lost, of course, spoiling a terrific goaltending performance from backup Jacob Markstrom.
Markstrom was brilliant, but the Canucks could not hold onto a 1-0 third-period lead and fell 2-1 in overtime Tuesday night to the Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Center.
One night after their embarrassing 4-0 loss in Anaheim, Markstrom looked like he was going to steal the Canucks a win.
But the Kings got a third-period power-play goal goal from Drew Doughty and the overtime winner from Anze Kopitar for their come-from-behind win.
