Canucks spoil Bieksa's return in comeback shootout win over Ducks

They desperately needed his defence. Chris Tanev returned to deliver that and a big goal for the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night.

Back after missing two games with a foot injury, Tanev tied the game midway through the third period and the Canucks got a shootout goal from Alex Burrows as they came from behind to beat the Anaheim Ducks 2-1 at Rogers Arena.

Goalie Jacob Markstrom stopped all three Anaheim shooters -- Ryan Kesler, Jakob Silfverberg and Corey Perry -- in the shootout as the Canucks improved to 15-15-9 and moved back above the Pacific Division playoff bar.
