DENVER — It wasn’t the first so-called must-win game of late for the Vancouver Canucks.
But this one was different. They actually won it.
Desperately trying to remain in the Western Conference playoff hunt, the Canucks snapped a four-game losing streak and beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 Tuesday night at the Pepsi Center.
Apparently, the Canucks are not going to go quietly into the night.
They spotted the Avs a 1-0 lead before scoring three straight goals to put it away and improve their record to 21-20-12.
Bo Horvat gave the Canucks a big insurance goal at 4:30 of the third period when he finished off an impressive end-to-end rush by defenceman Luca Sbisa.
