DALLAS — It was Black Friday and nearly everything was on sale, except National Hockey League victories.
Those were going for full price, something the Vancouver Canucks — more specifically their special teams — were unable or unwilling to pay at the American Airlines Center, where they fell 3-2 in a shootout to the Dallas Stars.
It was another big disappointment in the Big D for Vancouver, which lost its ninth straight game to the Stars.
The Canucks got one point on a night they probably deserved two.
Captain Henrik Sedin’s power-play goal at 15:50 of the third tied the game and forced overtime, but the Stars won it when Tyler Seguin scored the only goal in the shootout.
