A lot has gone wrong for the frustratingly inconsistent Vancouver Canucks, who have won just eight games since the start of November.
The goalies haven’t been able to steal as many games, the defence is quickly becoming a weak link, and there isn’t enough consistent scoring in the bottom-nine. Entering play on Tuesday night, Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser and J.T. Miller had combined for 39 of the team’s 110 goals.
On paper, it doesn’t look like captain Bo Horvat is struggling. He has nine goals and 27 points in 34 games, but once you take a closer look at the numbers, you’ll see that the 24-year-old isn’t quite reaching his full ceiling.
