Canucks overcome two-goal deficit to snap Panthers' winning streak in OT

It was typical Daniel Sedin, who instead of basking in his accomplishment chose to praise the man whose franchise record he tied Monday night with another game-winning goal.

Daniel’s second goal of the night, at 2:21 of overtime, gave the Vancouver Canucks a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the red-hot Florida Panthers at Rogers Arena. The Vancouver win snapped a 12-game Florida winning streak.

It was Daniel’s 346th goal of his career, matching Markus Naslund’s franchise record.

“He was an idol growing up, he meant so much to us when we came into this league,” Daniel said of Naslund, a friend and fellow native of Ornskoldsvik, Sweden.
