Vancouver Canucks goalie Jacob Markstrom tuned in a career year last year, and he has followed it up with an even better showing here in 2019-20.
Markstrom is now up to 13-11-3 on the season with a solid 2.63 goals against average and a tremendous .919 save percentages. Those are the best totals of Markstrom’s career thus far, when you factor in seasons in which he’s been the No. 1 goalie.
The 29-year-old put on perhaps the finest performance of his career in Saturday’s 3-2 home win against the Los Angeles Kings, turning aside 49 shots in the victory.
