TAMPA, Fla. — These are the Canucks, not Casablanca, but a couple of young players named Bo and Baertschi are beginning to show some Bogie and Bacall type of on-ice chemistry.
In the last two games, Bo Horvat and Sven Baertschi have combined to score a couple of really nice goals.
Just ask Radim Vrbata, their linemate who had a bird’s-eye view of both.
Late in the first period of Sunday’s 5-4 shootout loss to the Florida Panthers, Horvat delivered a perfect pass off the rush to Baertschi, who with Panthers defenceman Willie Mitchell draped all over him, finished it off with a fabulous shot that beat goalie Roberto Luongo and gave Vancouver a 2-1 lead.
