ST. PAUL, Minn. — With only two wins in 12 road games, maybe the Vancouver Canucks could use a little Mike Yeo — a calculated on-ice tirade to get players' attention, the way Yeo has two years in a row with the Minnesota Wild.
The Wild, who play the struggling Canucks tonight, is 4-0-2 since Yeo went ballistic during a Nov. 30 practice that he admitted "was the day to rattle the cage a little bit" after Minnesota lost three straight home games and top defenceman Ryan Suter complained publicly about being switched to his off-side.
An even more volcanic rant by Yeo last January was a turning point in Minnesota's season.
