SUNRISE, Fla. — Merry Christmas, hockey fans.
You wanted goals? Well, the Florida Panthers and Vancouver Canucks gave you plenty of them Sunday.
Unfortunately, the Canucks came up a goal short as they fell 5-4 in a shootout in what was a crazy game at the BB&T Center.
Brandon Pirri and Aledsander Barkov scored in the shootout to give the Panthers their fourth straight win.
The loss was Vancouver’s fourth in the first five games of a six-game road trip that concludes Tuesday night in Tampa Bay. The Canucks fell to 12-14-9 on the season.
