BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Ben Hutton is going to carry with him a little piece of Sunday’s game for the rest of this season, and so will the Vancouver Canucks.
Hutton will tote around in his stinky equipment bag the puck with which he scored his first National Hockey League goal against the New York Islanders. That’s how the kid rolls. He keeps his special pucks with him for good luck until the season ends.
The Canucks will carry for the rest of the year the two points from their 2-1 shootout win on their first visit to Brooklyn since the Islanders moved in from the Long Island suburbs and a rink stuck in the 1970s.
