Yesterday afternoon the New York Rangers surprised the hockey world by effectively warning their fanbase, or The Blueshirt Faithful as they have deemed them, that the team’s management staff intends on being aggressive deadline sellers. Rangers President Glen Sather and GM Jeff Gorton warned fans that change is coming over the coming months, all with the goal of ultimately delivering the team another Stanley Cup championship.
Today, the Canucks released their own statement in a similar fashion, but the intended effect isn’t quite the same.
