The Valparaiso women’s tennis squad won every single doubles match and all but one singles point to cruise to a 6-1 victory over the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) Panthers at home on April 7. After dropping their last four matches to conference opponents, this result has the group feeling great.
“Food tastes better, sleep is better and life is better when you get a win,” Modesto said.
When momentum is lost with early conference losses, optimism can be lost as well. Modesto attributed his group’s ability to get a positive result to the way they handled adversity and kept believing.
