This past week Valparaiso University learned about the tragic loss of Tom Brankin, who passed away at the age of 53.
Brankin’s involvement with the school was working with the Valpo men’s golf team as a volunteer assistant coach. Brankin worked with head coach Dave Gring during his two year tenure.
“Coach Brankin was a long-time friend of mine and a person who I deeply admired on so many different levels. I feel immensely blessed to have known Tom and his family for over 35 years, and it was a tremendous honor to coach our players alongside such an exceptional individual.
