VALPARAISO, Ind. -- Tevonn Walker scored 18 points and Markus Golder added 17 to help Valparaiso beat NAIA Trinity Christian 83-46 on Monday night.
Golder made 6 of 9 from the field and Derrik Smits had 10 points, on 5-of-5 shooting, and eight rebounds for Valparaiso (2-0).
Nari Garrett's jumper gave Trinity Christian an 11-10 lead with 13 minutes left in the first half, but Valpo scored the next 13 points -- as the Trolls went about 5 1/2 minutes without a made field goal -- to take the lead for good.
