UTSA to host I-35 rival Texas State on Tuesday night

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will continue its current home stand when it hosts I-35 rival Texas State on Tuesday night at Roadrunner Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Roadrunners (8-7) will look to bounce back from last weekend's sweep by Gonzaga. Saturday's opening game was a close 3-1 loss, but the Roadrunners were outscored by a combined score of 27-7 during Sunday's doubleheader. One bright spot came from Karan Patel, who struck out a season-best seven over four innings in the nightcap.
