SAN ANTONIO — Fresh off last Friday's 4-1 victory against Incarnate Word, the UTSA men’s tennis team will hit the road to face Lamar on Tuesday. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Thompson Family Tennis Center in Beaumont.
The Roadrunners (3-14) snapped a three-match losing streak with the win against their crosstown rivals last Friday in what was their first home contest since Feb. 10, a stretch of 11 road dates. Eric Buchalter and Takeru Watanabe combined for the decisive doubles decision with a 6-3 triumph at No. 3. After wins by Buchalter and Joao Riquelme in singles helped stake UTSA to a 3-1 advantage, Diogo Casa clinched the match with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory on center court.
