HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The UTSA softball team swept Southern Miss in Saturday's doubleheader at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
Game one
The Roadrunners defeated the Golden Eagles 5-1 to open the series on Saturday.
Riley Grunberg earned a walk with one out on the board. Madison Washington followed with a double to the left field wall as Grunberg reached home and UTSA led 1-0.
Celeste Loughman and Grunberg opened the third with back-to-back walks. Washington stepped up and doubled again to left field as Loughman scored (2-0) as Grunberg advanced to third.
