INDIANAPOLIS — UTSA freshman Jack Turner has earned a berth to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be hosted by Oregon on June 9-12 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
Turner will be one of 24 competitors in the men's decathlon at the national championships. The three-time conference champion will enter the meet ranked 11th in the field with his school-record 7,659-point total from the Conference USA Outdoor Championships last week in Tennessee.
A native of England, Turner is in line to become the fifth Roadrunner to garner All-America accolades in the combined events, including the fourth in the decathlon.
