SAN ANTONIO — Three UTSA assistant coaches were rumored to have been released on Saturday, and UTSA defensive line coach Eric Roark confirmed in a text Saturday night that he was one of them.
“I leave with nothing but great memories of my tenure at UTSA,” Roark said. “The important thing is God’s will and not the circumstances that I presently am in. Life is not for us to figure out. Life is for us to trust and believe in Him always.”
Former UTSA head coach Larry Coker hired Roark in April 2009 as one of the start-up program’s original assistants.
