DALLAS – The UTSA women's tennis team was upended 5-2 by SMU Saturday afternoon at the SMU Tennis Complex.
The Mustangs won the first point, taking the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 3.
SMU locked in the win with victories at No. 2, 4 and 5, respectively, in singles. Alexandra Weir topped her opponent 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 and Jasmin Starr defeated her opponent in three sets (2-6, 6-4, 7-5) at No. 1. The Mustangs won at No. 6 in three sets for the final point.
The Roadrunners are back in action on Tuesday when they travel across town to face UIW at 1 p.
