SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team dropped a 6-3 decision to McNeese State Wednesday evening at Roadrunner Field.
The Cowgirls scored a run in the first four innings to take an early 4-0 lead.
McNeese scored two more runs in the fifth to lead 6-2. In the bottom of the frame, Taylor Medina hit a solo home run to left field to put the Roadrunners on the board (6-1).
In the sixth, Celeste Loughman opened with a single to right field. Riley Grunberg reached on a fielder's choice and Madison Washington was walked to load the bases.
