SAN ANTONIO – The Roadrunners made a comeback in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough as they came up short to Rice 57-69 Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center.
The Roadrunners started off a little slow before hitting a scoring streak. Over a three minute period, UTSA hit a 10-4 run to come within one point (12-13) with 3:58 remaining. In the final two minutes, the Owls went on an 11-2 run to lead 26-16 after the first.
Through the first five minutes of the second, each team only scored eight points each as the Owls led by 12 (37-49).
