AUSTIN — No. 38 Texas blanked UTSA by a score of 7-0 on Sunday at Whitaker Tennis Courts.
The Roadrunners (3-3) battled in doubles play, but the Longhorns (3-1) were able to secure the early advantage with victories at the first and second positions.
The Texas tandem of Lana Groenvynck and Neda Koprcina got things started with a 6-2 win against UTSA's Nicole Karaklis and Alena Shichkova, but Lina Hallgren and Charlene Tiwari picked up the Roadrunners' lone trimuph of the afternoon with their 6-3 victory on the third court against Katie Poluta and Daniella Roldan.
