DALLAS – UTSA softball pitcher Madison Nelson received the Conference USA Spring Spirit of Service Award, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Nelson graduated in May with 3.46 GPA in health.
She participated in multiple community service activities, including UTSA Move, Kinetic Kids, Haven for Hope, Miracle League, Animal Shelter, Dunn Lab at MD Anderson and UTSA CANtoberfest. Nelson was also a member of 1st cohort Roadrunner Excellence in Leadership (REAL) Institute 2019-20
The Webster, Texas, native finished her career with a 4.42 ERA, appearing in 87 games with 61 starts and 120 strikeouts.
