Football: UTSA without a starting quarterback after spring practice

Once Jared Johnson transferred from Sam Houston State in April, it was clear UTSA coach Frank Wilson wanted someone else to compete for the starting quarterback position next fall.

Wilson hasn’t released a post-spring depth chart, but he shed a little more insight into the quarterback battle on Tuesday.

Neither junior Dalton Sturm nor freshman Jaylon Henderson established themselves during spring practice as the starter, Wilson told those at alumni event in Dallas on Tuesday.
