SAN ANTONIO — Former UTSA coach Larry Coker hinted strongly Tuesday that he did not step down from his job voluntarily last month.
The 67-year-old coach also told the Express-News that his health is good after undergoing hip replacement surgery in December and that he thinks he could get another job one day in college football.
Coker made the remarks almost a month after he stepped down on Jan. 5, a move that has been characterized as the coach’s decision.
Asked directly Tuesday afternoon if he felt like he was fired, Coker replied: “The only way I can answer that is this.
