DALLAS — For the third time this year, UTSA sophomore Bashiru Abdullahi has been named Conference USA Male Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
Abdullahi raced to a wind-aided time of 13.61 seconds in cruising to victory in the men's 110-meter hurdles at the Roadrunner Invitational last Saturday. His second win in as many races this outdoor season also marked the fastest time recorded under any conditions in school and meet history, bettering Keyunta Hayes' UTSA standard of 13.67 established in 2012 and the Roadrunner Invitational mark of 13.91 set by UTSA's Patrick Prince in 2017.
