COLLEGE STATION — Eric Buchalter won at No. 5 singles, but it was not enough as No. 5 Texas A&M posted a 6-1 victory against UTSA on Sunday afternoon at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
Buchalter, a senior from Birmingham, Ala., rallied from a 6-4 setback to Kevin Lam in the opening set for a 7-5 decision in the second before winning the super tiebreaker, 10-8, to hand the 66th-ranked Roadrunners their only point of the match.
Texas A&M grabbed the doubles point to start the day, as the tandem of Arthur Rinderknech and Jackson Withrow beat Fabian Brand and Diogo Casa, 6-3, at No.
