The script was so familiar for the UTEP women's basketball team in a 77-69 loss to Old Dominion on Saturday afternoon.
For the second time in 16 days, the Miners battled one of the top two teams in Conference USA to a standstill into the fourth quarter, they were on the edge of taking the final step to being an elite C-USA team.
Just as Rice did two weeks ago, an Old Dominion team that already is elite made a late push to show UTEP what that final step looks like.
