The UTEP men's basketball team suffered another jolt Sunday when starting guard Jordan Lathon entered the transfer portal.
Lathon entered the portal one day after the first guard off the bench, Nigel Hawkins, entered the transfer portal. However, sources indicated Hawkins has reconsidered his decision and is going to stay with the team.
Players have an indefinite amount of time to withdraw from the transfer portal.
Lathon, a sophomore two-year starter was averaging 27 minutes and 6.1 points per game and earlier this year hit the game winning shot against New Mexico.
A year ago, he started all 27 games and averaged 10.
