Joe Golding's first basketball staff at UTEP has a veteran look, featuring two assistants with a combined 60 years of experience and a 15-year NBA star.
Joining Golding on the bench are associate head coach Jeremy Cox, assistant coaches Butch Pierre and Earl Boykins, chief of staff Bryen Spriggs, director of recruiting and player development Khristian Smith and director of basketball operations Caleb Villarreal.
Cox, a 30-year coaching veteran, was the associate head coach at Stephen F. Austin, which won an NCAA tournament game in 2019 and was 28-3, including a win against Duke, in 2019-20.
