UTEP women's golf coach Jere Pelletier retires after 28 years with Miners

UTEP's longest tenured head coach is retiring.

UTEP women's golf coach Jere Pelletier, who took over as the program's second-ever head coach in 1994, announced Wednesday afternoon he is stepping down one week after the Miners completed their season.

“I would like to thank UTEP for giving me the opportunity to fulfill my goals and my dreams,” Pelletier said.

“Coach Pelletier has poured his heart and soul into building our women’s golf program,” UTEP Director of Athletics Jim Senter said. “I would like to thank him for his many years of service and for developing his student-athletes into terrific golfers and outstanding citizens.
