Ma’Qhi Berry and Asia Henderson have signed national letters of intent to attend school and compete with the UTEP women’s basketball team starting in the 2017-18 scholastic year, head coach Keitha Adams announced Thursday.
Henderson, a 6'1 forward, was a four-year starter for South View High School from Hope Mills, North Carolina. She is already among school’s top-10 career rankings for blocked shots (120-fifth) and total rebounds (533) and also holds school’s single-game rebound record at 23.
She was selected to the Mid-South All-Conference first team and NCBCA All-District first team as a junior after leading the team in points per game (11.
